   I traveled a long way ... north and south of the Equator ... across great oceans and high mountains ... to many lands .... I traveled to 30 famous and historic cities in 20 countries. I was on the road for five months and covered more than 30,000 miles.

   I did not go to Europe as I was familiar with much of it and knew I would probably have chances to go again.

   I also kept out of the world's hotspots. I chose interesting and important places in diverse cultures. Not easy to choose.

   It's a big, wonderful world. I wish I could have included more and seen more. Next time!
