How To Order

I borrowed it from my taxi driver and handed him my camera. He took three shots - and the third one was this winner. That's the beauty of digital photography. You see your picture instantly! Don't like it? Take another.

In the background are the great Pyramid of Cheops and the famous Sphinx. Two of the celebrated Wonders of the Ancient World.

Notice that here on the back cover I have placed the emphasis on you...on how you can undertake a wonderful trip like mine and make the most of it, returning home contented. Entirely possible.

Just read my book... then study all the helpful advice I have crammed into my big BackPack section. I call it BackPack because I've crammed it with so manythings that it reminded me of a typical backpack!

But the things in mine are easier to find, thanks to the Index that I have included on the last page of this section.

Life is what you make it. Make it exciting.

Do it now! In one big loop. Or do one part this year, another next year, the way many hike the Appalachian Mountain Trail. Proper planning is the real key.

My book will show you how. You’ll see what I did right, and what I ran up against.

Check my DOs and DON’Ts. All good stuff! All things I learned the hard way.

I traveled in the real world. Not in dream land. What I learned can pave the way for you.

Don’t consider such a trip an expense. Consider it an investment. Everybody should do some serious traveling. So important. This is education of the best kind.

“More money doesn’t mean a better trip. To see the real world, travel like an ordinary person. You’ll get more out of it. And you’ll have more fun."

“I’ve been a reporter, feature writer, columnist, editor. Done other interesting things in other fields. My Senior Moments newspaper column has been a prize winner in the contests of the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists. For years I traveled only during vacations. I began hitting the road big time after retiring. I traveled by VW, bus, plane, train all over the U.S. and in Canada, Mexico, and Europe before this big trip. To more places than I ever dreamed of. Wonderful! And it can be wonderful for you!”

“Read this and you’ll have a better trip!” - A.D., Scranton, PA.

“A great story by a remarkable man. Inspiring!” - M.A., Westboro, MA.
